Have Faith in Your Ability to Overcome…

“Sometimes faith isn’t believing the road ahead will be easy. It’s believing that whatever waits on that road, you have it within you to keep going.”

The Hidden Turtle

There are times in life when strength doesn’t feel like strength.

It feels like getting out of bed when you would rather pull the covers over your head.

It feels like putting one foot in front of the other when you have absolutely no idea where the path is leading.

It feels like saying, “I’ll try again tomorrow,” when today didn’t go the way you hoped.

We often think of faith as believing that everything will eventually work out exactly as we want it to. But perhaps there is another kind of faith—faith in ourselves.

The quiet belief that even if life doesn’t go according to plan, we will find a way through.

You Have Already Survived Difficult Days.

Think for a moment about everything you have already overcome.

There were probably days you once thought you couldn’t possibly get through.

But you did.

Maybe you didn’t handle every moment perfectly. Maybe you cried. Maybe you became angry. Maybe you made mistakes. Maybe you needed help.

None of that erases the fact that you kept going.

We sometimes look back at difficult chapters and focus on everything we wish we’d done differently. Instead, try looking at the person who survived them.

That person is still here.

And that matters.

Strength Doesn’t Always Look Brave

Some days, strength is loud and determined.

Other days, strength is simply refusing to give up.

It might mean asking someone for help.

It might mean starting over.

It might mean admitting that something isn’t working anymore.

It might even mean resting for a while so you have enough strength to continue tomorrow.

There is no rule saying resilience has to look graceful.

You are allowed to struggle and still believe in yourself.

Don’t Judge Your Entire Journey by Today

When we’re hurting, it’s easy to believe that the way life feels today is the way it will always feel.

It isn’t.

Life changes.

Circumstances change.

People change.

And you change.

The person facing today’s problem has knowledge and experience that the person you were ten years ago didn’t have.

You have learned.

You have adapted.

You have survived.

And perhaps that is where faith begins—not with certainty about what tomorrow will bring, but with remembering who you have already proven yourself to be.

Just Take the Next Step

You don’t have to figure out your entire life today.

You don’t have to know exactly how everything will work out.

Sometimes you only need enough faith for the next step.

Then the next.

And then one more.

Eventually, you may look behind you and realize that all of those tiny steps carried you across something you once believed was impossible.

So when life becomes overwhelming, remember:

You don’t have to know how the story ends to believe you’re capable of writing the next page.

Have faith in yourself.

You’ve made it through difficult chapters before.

And there are still pages left to write.
